Collection: Mako/Hastalis Shark Teeth

isurus is a genus of mackerel sharks in the family Lamnidae, commonly known as the mako sharks.

Hastalis (Broad-tooth mako, Carcharodon hastalis) and Mako sharks (Isurus genus, like the modern Shortfin Mako) are related, extinct/modern mackerel sharks, but Hastalis is now considered an ancestor or close relative of the Great White (Carcharodon carcharias), not a true mako, though its narrow-tooth form resembled them.
