Nodosaurus (meaning "knobbed lizard") was a heavy, armored herbivorous dinosaur that lived in North America during the Late Cretaceous period. Growing 4 to 6 meters (13 to 20 feet) long and weighing around 3.5 tons, it featured a body covered in bony dermal plates, a narrow head, short legs, and a stiff, clubless tail.
